Two more impressions come back to me;* first, that I spoke absolutely straight, without forethought or my usual ‘What-did-he-mean-by-that?’ caution, untactically.

Second, that I have the impression of a solid block of fairly limited men – limited in width of perception, perhaps due to the narrowness of their own experience.
