Comparison of the qualities of these two dreams* (yesterday and today) suggests that although the latter is more specific and predictive in its symbolism, it is also less reliable (in the sense of independent or objective): that it is an anxiety dream, arising from a sense of suppressed anxiety in a more superficial level of my Unconscious (I haven’t been conscious of emotional anxiety, merely of rational consideration, but [W] has been telling me how distracted and anxious she feels about my Diocesan [Selection] Board Interview tomorrow). Although these types of dreams may crystallise ideas, they are unlikely to convey anything new.** They lack the healing power of the first type of dream which arise, I believe, from a deeper level of the Unconscious.
