But I do wonder at a Church which prefers its own half-hourly sessions (one, perhaps two) instead of the recommendations of the cleric who actually knows me – [Canon][XQ] – and the glowing reference of my former [teacher]; and which actually invites me to be tactical rather than truthful (the warden [for Ordinands], a few days before, saying that if I was sent on to the Provincial [Selection] Board he would help me to rewrite my form). (He was supposed to have a long and thorough interview with me months ago, and never did.)
