Taking
the standard doubling sequence to define* the lengths of our cycles,
and starting with John Donne (1572-1631) as the leading Metaphysical
Poet* – does not give us anything very helpful at first sight.
However,
if we add to our assumptions* Christ as the beginning of many cycles,
and the end of one such cycle approaching now, we do have a 2048 year
fit for this particular Christian era, which on the assumption** of
Jesus’ birth 4BC-6AD*** and death within 1 to 3 years after
28/29AD, suggest[s]**** an approximately
30 year (32 year?) cycle from Christ’s birth[,] and this cycle on a
common starting date ending c2050 rather than c2070AD. But this is
speculation.
