aren’t they?* A little experiment with the [music]
keyboard suggests that this is not such a bad idea after all.
On
the other hand, I still prefer ‘The Most High’ ** for the
Creator, I believe that the Universe and Man are fairly Low (as in
High and Low Church…!), and the degrees C and A~ still feel like
the uppermost and ‘downmost’ – or top and bottom – of the
circle [sic].
The answer probably lies in careful use of words: after all, in one
sense C is
higher than A~, ie nearer to F (and to O).****
