One
of the interesting features of the Biblical Judaic cycle of c2000
years is that by starting with or shortly before Abraham (c1850bc[e]
or earlier) and ending that
cycle with Christ and the destruction of Jerusalem, things are placed
more or less where one would expect – with one exception:**

ought to have, but did not, appreciate [sic]
until today that between the Israelite’s capture of Jerusalem and
the division of Israel from Judah – which of course ended in the
deportation and destruction of Israel – was a period of only 70
