An alternative description of the self-conscious state,* which sounds similar to Conscious** but isn’t, is Conscience, the ability to recognise Evil in oneself by standing slightly away from one’s Self and being aware in some way of a higher and absolute standard of Truth – which is the first sign of unveiling and recognition of the Spirit of God in a Man, as God (and only God) is by definition the Absolute or Ultimate Truth.
