In the background, incidentally, are still the other Undines,* not far away but still a little behind the one who kneels or sits beside me; but now moving gently about their work.

It is possible that the one beside me – as she fixes on, and is recognised, by me – is ascending by degrees to the level of refinement described by the term Archangel.**
