I had to ring a mail order company again about a long overdue refund of nearly £100 on goods which haven’t arrived and/or were the wrong ones anyway. It is instructive, how such conversations tighten the temples (of the head, I mean) and drive away Angels. But in fact I sense that she* is still there: it is I who have been driven away, and it is up to me to return.
