I note that* somewhere in E[ncylopedia] B[ritannica] ** the hero is considered a Romantic phenomenon. If so I have got this*** wrong too, and maybe the Committee is classic!

Perhaps I have chosen my words carelessly. The Leader is a classic, ie Right (S~-M~-U~), phenomenon, I think. The Loner is probably a lower Left (j~) manifestation: this would probably be the typical Romantic hero, but not what I had in mind. The Committee is perhaps upper Left (r).
