(4)* I discovered by chance that 'Ariel' means 'Lion of God'.** You can therefore read the fictional name 'Ariel' for S~ as showing the split of the Lion symbol and name out of M~; or simply as a boob. Ariel is, I notice, a good spirit in some creations, a bad spirit in others.

**But per E[ncyclopedia ]Bibl[ica][Cheyne & Black, 1914,] p298 'Ariel': – [which] prefers it as 'a prophetic name for Jerusalem, Is[aiah] 29[.]1f7(6), probably to be read Uriel in vv1, 2a, 7, & Ariel in v2b. Uriel (or Uruel?) would be a modification of Urusalem, and mean originally God's enclosure or settlement. Ariel means altar hearth...' ‘[The] Other explanations [of this prophetic name] are (1) lion, or lioness, of God (...); (2) hearth of God (...); (3) altar hearth (...). [Of these, the third is probably the easiest; but none of them quite accounts for the selection of the new name for David’s city, nor for the expression “and will become to me like (an) Ariel” (v. 2b)]’ <881106>

This interpretation also relates the S~ Degree to the theme of the Fall (like Lucifer).*** <881106>
