(1)*
The** theory (or hypothesis) is that the shorter [the] line joining
+C†I~
or +A to another point on the Circle (and this may apply to the
influence from other points too), the more consciously the influence
[is] felt; and the longer the line, the more unconsciously it is
felt.
So,
for example:
[The
letters in the ms diagram shown above are set out in the table below.
They are ~-letters, not +/x-letters, although M appears in the same
location as both types, and C frequently appears for +C†I~
in ms diagrams. The two words appearing twice each in the ms diagram
above are 'Conscious' and 'Unconscious').]

This
suggests that the influence of +C†I~
on the Sybil, Prophet, Intellectual or Musician is relatively
consciously felt, whereas the influence of A~ is relatively
unconsciously felt; for such people as Artists and Craftsmen the
position is reversed. Types at G~ and M~ are balanced in this
respect; types [sic]
at +C†I~ and at A~ are at the extreme in this respect. (Bear in
mind that these would be 'pure' Types; *** actual Individuals are
likely to be 'mixed' Types.)
