But what is particularly interesting about the last five years or so is the sustained attack in the U[nited] K[ingdom] on the other side of the hemisphere, i.e. on the intellectual/analytic [sic] side of the culture, as represented in the Universities and the Professions particularly.

In class terms, this may be seen as the Lower Middle Class attacking the dominance of the Upper Middle Class (rather than simply Middle against Upper, Upper Class being a dubious concept nowadays); in Circle terms, the attack comes from A~, from business and finance.

I do not say that this is wrong necessarily (although it is likely to be associated with Evil);* it may well be a necessary development; I simply perceive it, [sic] as one way of looking at the World.
