'Faith' is the Virtue appropriate to the degree of M~. I suspect that this takes two forms. On the Outer Circle, Faith may be required in the existence of God, since he might not be known; on the Inner Circle, Faith may be required (and forthcoming) in the sense, Trust, in the purpose and caringness [sic] of God, who is known,* but in whom (as in any person whom we should trust) we may sometimes, amid the pressures of things, forget to always place our trust.
