{Aquarius}[18th March 1988]

[Redbook5:87-88][19880318:1005]{Aquarius}[18th March 1988]

19880318.1005

I have been meaning to write this for days: that although I doubt whether we really are entering the Age of Aquarius – simply because a star-pattern designed (as I hazard) for an annual calendar* and general cycle-map seems unlikely to be applicable also on a quite different and rigid time scale of the Heavens** – still, it is possible: and if it is true, then the New Agers may well have got it quite wrong:

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the Planets
And Love will steer the stars
This is the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius
– the Age of Aquarius
… Aquarius!
Aquarius....
Harmony and Understanding,
Sympathy and Trust abounding,
No more falsehoods or derisions,
Golden living dreams of visions,
Mystic Crystal Revelation
And the Mind's true liberation....
– Aquarius!
– Aquarius!
Aquarius....

(Words from Matrisciana:*** punctuation and first repetition**** from memory.)

To leave Pisces and enter Aquarius (which is what we are supposed to be doing) is an Outer Circle stage of great significance, and likely to be characterised by Simplification and Death (of the Self, admittedly) throughout the period. Admittedly the Turning Point and Crisis soon follow, but this is an Outer Circle cycle, suggesting not much possibility# of turning back: which is why I mislike [sic] it.#*

**Ah – but see VI. [] 245, [] 328-9ff, VII [] etc.

****[i.e of “Aquarius”?]

#[In this context, presumably?]

#*{See [[Redbook5:151][19880613:0930]{Aquarius (2)}[13th June 1988],] 150}

#**Some put the change in the early 19th century; others, if I recall correctly, some hundreds of years in the future. <881030>
