What I think the Angelic Hierarchy* describes are the stages, levels or planes through which or by which Angelic Spirits descend in the Spiritual Realm to involve themselves with us.**

In the context of the diagram on pp144-145,*** it may also throw some light on the way in which we may ascend towards Union with them, in God.****
