Nevertheless,* to a Man on the Outer Circle it may seem as though his evil spirits are beyond his control, controlling him: this is the nature of the Outer Circle. The way to subdue the evil spirits is to concentrate on Inner Circle qualities: by radial resonance** as he passes along the Outer Circle; but above all by invoking the Angelic Quality of the Christ who is Master of the Crisis point or Cross-over from the Outer to the Inner Circle, from the dominance of the Material World to the Spiritual Kingdom, from the evil spirits of the Self who stain the Soul – Sin – to the Angelic Spirits of God who save it.

Not forgetting, of course, that in the nature of the Separation it is Man's selfish response on the Outer Circle to those same Dynamically Independent Qualities – or Angels – which gives rise to his evil spirits. This pattern, too, of the Outer Circle, is found throughout the Material World: ***which, for all its overall ecological balance, strikes me as essentially operating by selfishness.****
