A
curious possibility: the early Christians (if I remember rightly)
used the Chi-Rho sign, [*],
said to represent the first two [Greek] letters of ChRist.
On my representation of the Circles, the two horizontal cardinal
points are not part of the Tarot Pack**, nor do either of them have a
single Astrological sign***; even the Grail symbols tend to be near
them rather than on them****. The two Archetypes, +M and +K, have
been represented fictionally, and fairly consistently, as arranging
and organising the circumstances in which the rest of the Circles
pattern can operate.#
If
we take the lines#* of the first two Tarot Cards, 0 and I, we have: |
. The next four#*,
II – V, give: X . Finally, the crucial and crisis transformation of
the Individual between the Circles and directions or rotation is
represented#**
[by
a backward 'C']:
Ͻ
. Thus: [the Chi-Rho sign]*.
Whether
this is a co-incidence or not, it emphasises an uncertainty in my
mind as to where exactly
the transfer takes place.#*** I had seen it (until recently) as
occurring between Simplification and Love without passing through
Attraction-Unity. But the present
emphasis on +C which occurs in my writings and experiences around and
just after Christmas of this year, suggests that the Transformation
from one quality of xS to the other occurs through
the qualities of +C. This, of course, fits in with Christian
teaching about the need to find (God) [sic]
through
Christ;
and, by co-incidence or otherwise, it fits pretty well the early
Christian [Chi-Rho]*
symbol.#****

G~ and M~ feature less in the index annotations (e.g. of [Vol] II [of
