Seeing
them* in terms of Separation and Unity, I feel very sorry for them.
“Pity”, of course, can be wielded as a weapon or as a
consolation; but I am sorry for them because I believe them to have
lost themselves completely within the extremes of Separation; and
because, knowing their reactions to clergymen who 'preach', I suspect
that they are unlikely to be able to listen enough to discover how to
recover themselves from their Separation.
