I am in the
middle of replanning British Railways, so I cannot write much -- little time to
spare. We had a lecture by Professor
Donald Michie this afternoon about machine intelligence -- he predicts machines
which can talk intelligently in 10 years time, and he should know -- he
is head (?) of the department of machine intelligence (?) at Edinburgh University. Very interesting.
