[A cutting in the ms of an article in [The] G[uardian 19]910123:[p]8 headed “Surgical sexism ‘barrier’ to women consultants”* by Chris Mihill, Medical Correspondent, begins: “Woman making a career in medicine are failing to achieve consultant posts because of sexism, especially among surgeons, a report from the Department of Health says” (–“Women Doctors and their Careers: Report of the joint working party; free; Department of Health publications store....”)]
Doctors are up there just above M~ in the upper right quadrant too.** There are precious few female military officers, particularly in combat roles;*** and I suppose this places priests firmly in that area at present, even if that might not be where they should be....
