But* I was intrigued to note in The Times (11/6/87)** that jet lag creates depression on a flight from East to West, and euphoria from West to East. Natural resonances of the Circle pattern may be significant – the pattern of the Seasons is the Outer Circle pattern, although not synchronised with the Zodiac (or even its direction); the pattern of Day and Night is the [sic] Circle pattern. Assuming that the appropriate Circle transits are through [+Mk]A~ , this suggests that East to West (Depression) for these purposes can be seen as Outer Circle, and West to East (Euphoria) as Inner Circle. This in turn suggests that, in this respect at least, West should be identified with [+K]G~ and East with [+]M~.
