I was intrigued to note in The Times (11/6/87)** that jet lag creates
depression on a flight from East to West, and euphoria from West to
East. Natural resonances of the Circle pattern may be significant –
the pattern of the Seasons is the Outer Circle pattern, although not
synchronised with the Zodiac (or even its direction); the pattern
of Day and Night is the [sic] Circle pattern. Assuming that the
appropriate Circle transits are through [+Mk]A~ , this suggests that
East to West (Depression) for these purposes can be seen as Outer
Circle, and West to East (Euphoria) as Inner Circle. This in turn
suggests that, in this
respect at least, West should be identified with [+K]G~ and East
with [+]M~.

[The
diagram in the ms here is a roughly circular horse-shoe shape of two
circle segments passing approximately through G~, A~ & M~, joined
together to create an open end under I~.]
