On the inner or spiritual level, it is an entirely different matter*: it is the inner 'left' which will in time evolve towards the inner 'right'.

It is possible to identify the Church with the inner 'right', being an institution (of ordination) concerned properly with inward matters. The Roman Catholic Church gives the impression of being more 'inner' and the Protestant Churches more 'outer'**. Nevertheless both forms of Christianity are frequently identified with and co-operate with the political right wing in their own Countries***.

Despite this the Church recognises, and properly so, that inner 'leftism' which is an essential stage towards its own proper goals, and assists it; it can also recognise the place of outward leftism in bringing about the Crisis which offers an opportunity to turn to the inner circle. However, assistance to that outward leftism brings, rightly or wrongly, dangers of corruption of its own institutional structure on the outer level.

The Church is in a unique position (so far as I know) among Earthly institutions in being able without severe schizophrenia (apparently) to exist simultaneously on both circles; and this may be due to its position on the 'top right' at '45 [degrees]', where the circles come close together […]****.
