It occurred to me that when eccentric Christian sects go crazy * with speaking in tongues etc., they may be manifesting that R~ degree which, as well as being the haunt of schizophrenics, represents the final disintegration of the personality in death (of one type or another) in preparation for re-birth (or not): so not only is speaking in tongues (in Churches) more closely related to hearing voices (in Schizophrenia), but both are resonant with the final death and resurrection for the Day of Judgement.**

Quite a thought.
