Religious tolerance allows Individuals to practice their own religions, within the general framework of State-recognised moral law (eg against murder). But – perhaps due to a combination of religious apathy, on the one hand, and fundamentalism, on the other – there seems to be developing a general view that to practise any religion formally and with public commitment constitutes religious intolerance: true religious tolerance consists in not giving a damn one way or the other.
