It might be best to see the ‘descent into Hell’* on the basis of Astarte’s** progress, stripping off the seven veils: and her re-ascent, reclothing herself as she rises:

In other words, the full death-&-resurrection sequence comprises all three of the specific deaths and rebirths.*** In this case, the three days can only, I suppose, be the three points of touching the C degree – ie the beginning, the transformation, and the end.*
