In fact* my year generally turns from Boxing Day, 26^th December. Since then I have rebuilt a partition wall (removed by one of our predecessors) to make a study, where I am now; and I am about to start work** on another partition wall to change the West half of the cottage back into a passage and 2½ rooms, as it once was, from what a neighbour recently*** described as a barn.
