A
clear definition of Yin-Yang is given in E[ncylopaedia]
B[ritannica].12.845, and can be summarised as follows:*

(&
I notice that it mentions 'the characteristically Chinese belief in a
cyclical theory of becoming and dissolution', which is unsurprising
but about which I have been able to find out nothing more).**
This
gives an opportunity to consider differences between Yin-Yang and
Circles attributes – because (although I think old systems are an
aid rather than a proof) Chinese views should be considered
respectfully.
But
in fact, all the comparison really serves to show is that Circles
Analysis, despite the fact that one of its Resonances – Diametric
Resonance** – is a directly opposite relationship, cannot really be
itself analysed or fully described in terms of simple antitheses.
The antitheses are indeed the beginning of it (or at least of my
approach to it), but they are only the beginnning.

**(They
also talk about 'an interdependence between the World of nature and
human events['] – not,
presumably, the obvious one!)
