Within the Natural Universe (and here I think I catch perhaps an echo of the forgotten idea*) Man is unusual (in our World at least) for being an unspecialised creature, in physique, not greatly different from all mammalian embryos; although {(he is)} mentally a quick learner, I am not convinced that he is quicker than other animals to learn within their specialisations: but he is more open-minded, i.e. mentally unspecialised, and therefore quicker to learn generally, which paradoxically is what enables him to make individual choices of his own mental (as [sic] physical) specialisations. I guess that this places Man in 'evolutionary' terms at the [+C]I~ polarity; and that this position** enables him, uniquely in the World (so far as I know), to pass round the Circles, one way or another, and return again to the starting point.

*[See last previous entry but one.]

**{or his Quality (Soul) on this position – cf. [[Redbook4:168][19871122:2330]{Diametric Resonance and Circle Polarity (1)}[22nd November 1987],] p.168 [presumably].
