– 'Not of proximity to God'* – not in some geographical sense, anyway, but of course refinement has implications in terms of union/separation, even if not altogether linear.

(I think I lost my way there.)

**CHRIS† <871123>

***I reversed the qualities of Principalities (i.e. [previously] Gifts [e.g. Might]) and Powers ([previously] Inner Principles [e.g. Diversity]) on paper at first, following [[Redbook4:100-101][19871005:0940e]{Vices, Virtues, Principles[, Qualities] and Gifts}[5th October 1987]] p.100-101; but the order there was neat rather than significant when I wrote it, and the original order in my mind was as now given above. They seem to fall naturally into four pairs, and A~ 'holding the ring'. Note that I do not (yet) know what to make of Dominions, Thrones, Cherubim and Seraphim. This may be because of where I am.

****(Note that the named Archangels#** (e.g. Uriel) are generally described (by other sources) in terms of their Outer Circle roles, i.e. roles in relation to Individuals on the Outer Circle).

#One might expect in (e.g.) [2] each fictional archetype to show particularly the characteristic which I have given as an example here (by combining list and circle). There is some evidence for it but the thing is bound to be a bit woolly.

#*(but see below [[Redbook4:135][19871019:0925c]{Angelic Hierarchies [continued (6)]}[19th October 1987],] p.135)
