Note that both the paths start with cerebral activity. The Inner Circle starts with 'inner driven' mental activity, for its own sake ('Love') such as pure Science, and ends up – on the money side of the Circle – with Harmony etc.****. The Outer Circle starts with 'outer-driven' mental activity, such as how to solve a problem by forcing a solution; or how to make money. It ends with Simplification, or Death although money may be made in the early stages (i.e. see p.38)#. The distinction at the start is often very subtle; later it often becomes painfully obvious.
