I thought I had recorded a dream, since p.53* I think, in which we discovered another Outbuilding here – yes, in the Marginal Note to II.276**, which I was annotating the following day: “Curiously, I dreamt last night for the first time here*** that we found a new outbuilding here – used as a scientific research laboratory, and once part of someone else's buildings <870812>”.***

These two [dreams]* mark the first shift back to an older type of house dream, from collapsing house dreams; and the present dream, with its floor in need of repair (but usable – like ours here#) looks like a link between them. Given that I have just re-aligned myself (yet again)# by forcing myself to put this work before the earning of money and the repair of our buildings – I take these two dreams as some kind of validation of this course. When I awoke this morning I felt a slight sensation of loss, i.e. of that dream house as against our real circumstances, even though I knew it was symbolic; as soon as I came downstairs, however, I felt so completely at home here#* that it was as though the dream had followed me downstairs, saying: 'This is the Mansion of your Dreams, with its unexplored stairways and undiscovered rooms!' Which, of course, it is.#**
