On
Monday evening, after returning from work and discussion with [W] (over
a Chinese meal) of the Sufi sheikh*, I dozed off (with her) on the
bed still considering this problem. In this semi-conscious state I
saw myself for a brief time in some way actually opposing the Sheikh
and his influence, at a moment of crisis, although the details now
escape me. Passing to wakefulness, I brought with me that sense of
wholeness, healed and healing, which to an extent continued through
the evening and had a practical effect on my [d-i-y]
construction work.
The
prospect of opposition to him is not one that appeals to me, not
least because it seems unfair, and possibly dangerous.
