{Commissions}[6th December 1981]

[Redbook2:214][19811206:0000]{Commissions}[6th December 1981]

6.12.81

If I am asked: why do you prefer not to practice as a Barrister, a part of my answer might be found in this: if a man has to work to another's commission for wages or fees, it is better for him to do so with the hands than with the head. The other, by his commissions, will try to convert this man to the other's ends. The hands once converted, the head can always re-convert the hands; but I have never heard that the hands can re-convert the head.
