*In the Saxon history of England – mostly contained within the second 512 year period ce, the 1st being Romano-British, the third I suppose Norman, and the fourth (Norman-ruled) ‘modern’ – in the Saxon cycle, there was at first no clear C[ircles] A[nalysis] & S[ynthesis] pattern.
However, it is worth examining the conditions of the time: for example, if regicide, or at least the killing of Kings, [sic] is a normal method of deciding victory, and war is the normal method of deciding disputes, it is pointless to expect the death of kings to occur in any particular place;** in later times,*** when regicide was held in abhorrence, a pattern might have some significance.
From this distance, the pattern of Anglo-Saxon England from around 512ce to around 896ce (as far as I have got) seems fairly troubled and formless: perhaps reflecting the large-scale complication of the 2048-year U around 768ce.
