{In the Name of the Father, and the Son....}

I find that not only is the name of ‘Jesus’[,] and ‘Christ’[,] increasingly inappropriate when used in the ways and contexts in which church doctrine and custom suggest it should be used – resonating with a quality of inappropriateness, which casts doubt, not* on the validity of the Archetypal Degree of +C†I~, but on that of Christianity itself;** but also *** the title ‘God’, implying God the Father, has become to some extent similarly inappropriate, and a barrier to communication: because religious belief has become so much regarded as a matter of personal and private freedom that any mention of God is now a conversation-stopper.****

****(This has turned out appallingly written, reflecting my difficulty in expressing# the thought.
