{Speaking of [O]}[6th October 1989]

I have briefly and with some success, and at her prompting, explained the basics of the [O] system to [s]’s godmother [K], who is interested in this kind of thing. She is only the second person after [SX]* (and [W], of course) to whom I have explained a significant part of it; curiously enough, after I had explained it to [SX], he met [K and her partner C] through us and has been visiting them frequently.

The fact that I can set this out more easily – to someone who is interested – in speech than in writing, indicates that I should perhaps look for opportunities to teach it ‘live’ – probably with diagrams – rather than rely on being able to ‘booklet’ it (although I should like to keep trying). This may have something to do with getting ‘feedback’ from a real audience, or at least responsiveness to which the presentation can then be adjusted.

Perhaps ‘Speak!’ is meant precisely.**
