What this* is really about is the habit we have of getting things back to front: and in particular in the Church, of setting codes of action in place of mental healing. I should like to see the Church’s individual (and to a great extent its collective) teaching based on the recognition of inner symptoms in the outer World, the healing of Souls, and the guidance of Men’s Spirits to integration, in and through Christ. (If it was not through Christ, it would not be the Christian Church: others may do things in their own way.) This corresponds to the teaching[s] of Jesus on entry to the Kingdom.

We should see evil for what it is, a description for [sic] wilful separation from God:** a fairly technical matter. Divine judgement, and human guidance, must follow from this. Recognition of evil – recognition of what constitutes one’s wilful separation from God – arise[s] only from recognition of God: in the World, in Men, in himself:*** the Spirit. In particular, the unveiling of one’s own Spirit by the Grace of God,**** lets shine forth that Love which is Light of the Spirit and the manifesto of Grace, and the light of that Love in one’s eyes, face and body (or manner) communicates that Grace in Love to others, so that their own Spirits also may be unveiled, and the Light of the Spirit which is Love# shine forth, until All are One.
