{The Circles of the Spirit [continued (4)]}[15th August 1989]

This insight of experience – that the Spirit transforms outer principles or attributes into inner qualities* – is precious, if not unforeseen: it was, I think, described in an earlier volume** as a radial resonance.*** But does it relate to contra-rotation,**** which is also experienced?

I guess that radial resonance is more static, contra-rotation more dynamic: ie the former relates more to (eg) states of mind, and their alteration, the latter to processes of disintegration or integration. At the Poles – C & A~ – of course, the two resonances would co-incide [sic]; and by circumferential resonance,# perhaps (or ‘overlap’, or ‘spreading’), the strength resulting from this co-incidence [sic] would be felt on or near the diagonals. (At the horizontal cardinals, left and right, I guess diametric resonance#* would be relatively apparent.)
