To deny the Spirit is desecration, depression, destruction, death. To affirm, to recognise, to love the Spirit is resurrection, re-creation, ascension, and holiness.

This is the revelation of experience. How can I convey the Spirit? – express it to others, I mean; but the Spirit will express itself, most purely in the one whose life is most pure (not me). I know now the power of the Spirit to transform, in an instant, the depression of external complications into that most profound lifting of the spirits* which is the Ascent of the Spirit:

– in which transformation it becomes apparent that the Spirit moving the depression is the same as the Spirit within the Ascension: it is the orientation of the Self which makes the former loathsome, the latter, loveliness of Spirit.
