[Redbook6:201-202][19890804:2343b]{God
the Creator, the* Christ and the* Spirit (2) [continued]}[4th
August 1989]
.2343
[continued]
If
you deny or distort the Spirit, however,** it will in the end and to
that extent destroy you:*** although this point is made from
experience and observation, it does tie in with Jesus’ comment on
the unforgiveability of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.**** Hence
the quality of Christ is essential in both knowing God (the
Father-Creator) and experiencing the Spirit.
By
distortion of the Spirit, I mean the attempt to channel it to one’s
own will instead of the will of the Father-Creator: which, again, can
only be known through the Quality of Christ.
Another
way of putting it is to say that of all the Archetypes of the Circle,
only one – Christ – leads by integration to Unity and thus Union
with God the Father Creator and the Spirit; anything that does not
tend towards God goes down to destruction in Separation; and the
Spirit, being the ultimate potential and therefore (when it lights
upon an Individual) the ultimate dynamic force, brings about or
accelerates movement whether away from or towards God. Note that for
the Individual at rest the Spirit seems to move; but for the
Individual in motion towards it the spirit seems to be at rest.#
For
the Individual moving away from it, the position is not so clear: the
Spirit may well seem to drive
him away.

‘Wherefore
I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven
unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be
forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of
man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the
Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world,
neither in the world to come.’
