{In God}[29th May 1988]

The Mystic must continually be re-inventing the Wheel.

Nevertheless – but naturally – the Wheel is only transitional, if transforming: at a [sic] stage of Union, all this Separation must fall away or (more correctly) be perceived in Truth as One, the One which perceives. So it is true to say, not only, as some say, that there are Men who walk with God; not only, as I understand it, that God walks (or works) in us; but also that we, every one of us, walk in God.* Every one of us!

Nevertheless I neither believe nor disbelieve: merely record....

But think what that means! That everyone as he goes about his daily business, whether or not he believes in or is aware of God, whether he is clear of Conscience or stained of Soul, walks, lives, acts, has his being in God. That is the perception of Union, by which God's indivisibility is preserved. The perception of (or from) Separation, for those who are aware of it, is that God (the Spirit) is in each one of us.

*cf. [2], +C. [Possibly a reference to: ‘“When I told you that the Spirit Alone knows all that has been, is, and is yet to be, it is because all things are within the Spirit; even though, to the things that are within the Spirit, it may seem otherwise."’ (+C in [2]]
