Cancer (the Zodiacal sign) occurs at the U~ Outer Circle point where Individuals who have passed from Attraction through Ordination (S~) and Outer Action (M~) (between which Lawyers are more likely to be found** [than elsewhere] encounter Complication for the first time, leading to Distraction, Fragmentation, Revolution and Simplification. (On the whole, the Zodiacal signs[,] like the other ancient constellations[,] seem to have emphasised the Outer more than the Inner Circle).

Musicians do not seem (as such – but the Individual may do what he will) to be at Ordination [on the Outer Circle] – but at Simplification (or Love on the Inner Circle). It is tempting to see respiratory diseases as linking the Heart (G~) via the lungs and respiratory system to the Air (S~).*** But this may well be carrying speculative connection too far.

**(or, of course, on the Inner Circle, between Inner Action and Harmony.) [This presumably refers to occupational and other birth-date statistical correlations discussed earlier throughout this Journal.]

***More to the point, perhaps, is that as Cancer comes after the Lawyers on the Outer Circle, so Air (S~) comes after Musicians.... <880703>
