[Redbook4:10][19870705:2100c]{The
Theme of Themes}[5th

As
for me, even in this new place,* my first real home on Earth, I am
unsettled if I stay for too long away from this theme. It is the
only real theme, the theme of themes, to which all others** owe their
being. It is the only life worth living, the only lasting
satisfaction, that to which you can and must always return and it
never grows stale: not the Circles per se, but the search for and
discovery of God. This is not a pious hope: I tell it as I
experience it; I tell it as it is.***
