{The Two Circles}[c.14th July 1980]

[Redbook2:165E][19800714:1945]{The Two Circles}[c.14th July 1980]

19800714.1945c.

  • The Outer Great Circle is the Circle of the World.

  • The Inner Great Circle is the Circle of the Spirit.

  • The Square and Diagonal Crosses link the four cardinal points and the four stages.

  • The five lesser *circles through which they pass are the five *spatial communities of Man.

  • The central point is therefore [the] Balance of God in Man, and Man in God.

  • The absolute direction of movement represented here is unimportant, since both cardinal pairs swap position within their pairs: what matter are the relative directions of the two Great Circles.

This is, of course, a 2-dimensional representation of something that is non-dimensional; its validity is therefore limited. In particular, the relationship of +C and +Mk alone might be better represented with +C at the centre of a sphere and +Mk on the circumference. <19800716.2340>

Other than Here, there is no Wheel at all: All is One. <19810107.2325>

*[Concentric; e.g. (as an example only) village/town – district/county/city – region/state/province – nation/union – World.]

[This note (on a dated and timed sheet inserted in the journal on a later occasion) appears to be partly a symbolic analysis of the geometric elements of the United Nations flag, i.e. the straight lines (square and diagonal cross) and five concentric circles from the flag without the countries superimposed, and with the olive wreath interpreted as two additional (“great”) circles, correctly open at the top. There are two hand-drawn annotated diagrams with the text, which may be incorporated in this blog later.]
