[Redbook2:164][19800317:0000]{Probability and Luck}[17th

I
think it may be that the clue to luck lies in the distinction between
quality and quantity of experience of statistical distribution (and
not merely in the distribution of quantity as I have considered*).
In other words, the frequency of random events occurring “to” an
individual may be subject to laws of probability, given minor
quantitative variations in timing etc.; but the quality of the events
which do occur is in some sense subjective to him, and might
therefore not be governed by such laws in the same way.
*(Yes
– but despite my [Redbook] content lists, I can't find where!)
