It should be, of course, still possible to resolve a crisis in a pre-eminently i[nner] c[ircle] direction, instead of o[uter] c[ircle], at least as late as the end of the first quarter-cycle, M~, in this case 2000ce. In most respects in this 64-cycle, that does not look terribly likely.


The dazzling potential exception is Europe, or more broadly the European world, in political terms.* I see this as the hopeful lead-in to 2048C.



*[Possibly a reference to the end of the Cold War, the Eastward expansion of the (voluntary) European Union, and the possibility of the West holding out and maintaining the hand of friendship and trust towards Russia.]
