By the time of arc* M~-U~-A~** the economy may well appear to be on the way to recovery, with activity getting going again in most or all sectors.

In fact it is arguable that the recovery is already over: in the nature of the O[uter] C[ircle], complication*** and distraction**** are already leading to another round of overheating (the J~ quarter-circle) (or ‘boom’), and bust (the R~ quarter-circle).
