That * ‘market’ can, of course, itself be subject to convention and ignorance; but I have great faith in the ability of ordinary people to evolve freely ‘upwards’, to finer forms, if guided by those from whom intermediaries tend to separate them; and by intuition or con-science, to recognise those guides, when they see them, appropriate to the next stage.
