(1) Its period or term, eg 32 (years)

(& the unit, eg y= years (not normally shown)

(m = months, w = weeks, d = days &c)


(2) The number (ordinal) in the sequence of such cycles,

for which we can use ordinals eg 2nd 32

or subscripts eg 322 (neater but must not be confused with ‘base’)


(3) Possibly, the total period (if known) in standard units, ie the length of the maximum time span of the I (= Individual or Institution) of which this cycle is a part, ie*** 322/67


(4) The nature of the I, eg H (Human/Homo Sapiens); ?N (Nation)
